The Greeley City Council has recently introduced enhanced security measures aimed at ensuring the safety and accessibility of public meetings. These protocols are designed to create a secure environment for both council members and attendees.
New Security Protocols
Effective immediately, the following measures have been implemented:
- All visitors attending City Council meetings and work sessions at City Center South, located at 1001 11th Avenue, are required to enter through the west side doors after 5 p.m. on Tuesdays.
- Upon entry, attendees will pass through a metal detector.
- Officers may conduct bag checks as necessary.
- To facilitate a smooth entry process, attendees are encouraged to limit the number of personal items they bring and to arrive early to allow time for security screening.
These steps are part of the city’s commitment to maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for civic engagement.
City Council Composition
